Padre Island National Seashore - Texas

Padre Island is a protected barrier island along the South Texas coast. Wind conditions can be quite strong along the coast and there is always a sea mist to contend with. The mist here hides the rising sun, but the longest wavelength light is reflected off the overlying clouds setting up a beautiful pink sunrise. No people to contend with at this time of morning, just the mosquitoes who don't seem to mind the sea breeze.
