Angelina National Forest - Texas
While Texas is not known for its fall foliage, it does get colorful from October through December. Angelina NF is in East Texas and has large tracts of beautifully preserved pine and deciduous forest. It is also home to a large reservoir that provides great boating and fishing opportunities. This particular photo was taken on a camping trip early in the morning while the sun was backlighting the forest canopy. The most peaceful time of the day!
